Device moves
Need to move a managed Canon multifunction copier printer on campus? Let our personnel trained in moving electronic equipment safely transport it for you.
Moving rates include uninstall, transport and reinstall only. Please provide at least five to seven business days' notice before a move. Pickup and delivery usually occur on the same day, Monday - Friday (Morning: 8 a.m.–12 p.m. or Afternoon: 1 p.m.–4 p.m.). Check with your local IT to coordinate a network connection at the device's new location.
Additional time is required when requesting a move for a Canon wide format or plotter. The equipment will require Canon to place a service ticket for de-install for transport, and re-install after the move is complete. Please allow an additional 3 to 5 business day window when scheduling a wide format or plotter move.
Move pricing
Device moves that require transportation will generally cost $550. Prices vary depending on distance and the number of devices included in the move.
Additional fees
If the location is not elevator accessible and the device needs to be carried up or downstairs, an additional fee for labor will be assessed.
Re-inspection
We recognize that in some cases you may contract with your own moving company. Doing so would impact the service contract on your equipment and would make you responsible for any damages that may occur during transit. Equipment moved outside of this program would be subject to are-inspection fee prior to putting the device under a maintenance contract.
